Spring Flowers Craft Using Recycled Juice Boxes

Note: Thank you for Juicy Juice for sponsoring this spring flowers craft post. All opinions are my own.
It’s finally spring, and it’s the perfect time to celebrate its arrival after a long winter. Kids are on Spring Break, and if they’re like my kids they’re at home itching to do activities. As such, we came up with this fun Spring Flower craft to welcome the new season.
April is also the month that Earth Day falls into so we wanted to do a craft that reused items as much as possible. So for the Spring Flower “pots,” we used empty juice box containers. For the flowers, we reused pipe cleaners from another project. The green tissue wrap paper for the “soil” is from a gift bag we had received. The construction paper is new since we had to measure and cut a certain shape to fit around the juice boxes. The stickers are also new since used stickers lose their stickiness.

To start this Spring Flowers craft, my kids drank Juicy Juice Fruit Punch 100% Juice so that we could reuse the boxes. I prefer to buy Juicy Juice for them because there’s no added sugar, and there’s 120% Vitamin C in every 8 oz. serving. In fact, 8 oz. of Juicy Juice is equivalent to 1 cup of fruit! Just make sure to clean and dry the empty juice boxes before using for the craft.
Now you’re ready to start!
Spring Flowers Craft
Supplies:
- Juicy Juice drink boxes – emptied, cleaned, and dried
- Construction paper
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Tape
- Stickers
- Pipe cleaners
- Green tissue wrap paper
Instructions:
Use clean, empty, and dry Juicy Juice drink boxes. I used Juicy Juice 6.75 oz. juice boxes. Unfold the flaps at the top and ask an adult to help you cut them off so that the entire top is removed.

Choose a piece of construction paper for the color of your spring flowers “pot” which is the juice box. Use a pencil and a ruler to outline the shape of the box on the construction paper. For the 6.75 oz drink box, mark and draw lines with a height of 4.75″. Then mark and draw lines for a width of 8″.

Use scissors to cut out the shape you just drew.

Wrap the paper around the box. The ends of the paper should overlap and then tape the seam.

All done and ready to decorate!

Use fun stickers to customize and personalize your flower “pot.”

Now it’s time to make the flowers out of pipe cleaners. Twist, turn, and wrap pipe cleaners to make flowers. Have fun mixing colors and patterns. Be mindful that the more pipe cleaners you use, the heavier your flowers will be. Added weight may make the flowers droop. When creating the flowers, leave a bit of extra pipe cleaner at the ends so you can use them to attach the flowers to the stem.

Once your flowers are finished, use a green pipe cleaner for the stem of the flower. Alternatively, you can use a green straw which will be more sturdy if your pipe cleaner flowers are heavy. Attach the flowers by twisting the end of the flowers’ pipe cleaners around the stem.

Place the flowers and stems in the juice box pots. Next, cut pieces of green tissue wrap paper, crumple, and stuff into the pots around the stems. This will help the stems to stay upright. If your flowers are too heavy and are drooping over, try lowering them on the stem so they partially rest against the top of the juice box pots for support.

You’re done! Now it’s time to enjoy your creative masterpieces.
