Maria Wen Adcock Children’s Book Author Site Has Launched!
After months of hard work, I’ve launched my new author site! This site features my primary focus moving forward which is as a children’s book author. My new logo was created by my sister, Teresa Wen. I love how the whimsical style alludes to the creative process of book publishing while the bold color of “Maria Wen Adcock” emphasizes my author name and brand. The subtitle below my name clearly states what the site is all about.
The Maria Wen Adcock author site was completed by Krizzy Designs who also worked on my original Bicultural Mama blog. In fact, the new author site can be accessed by using the original URL www.BiculturalMama.com. People can also use MariaWenAdcock.com which redirects readers to BiculturalMama.com.
The homepage emphasizes my book, “It’s Chinese New Year, Curious George” while introducing my next picture book titled “My Name is Ai Lin” (coming June 2025). I also include a gallery of photos from school and library visits as well as reviews and accolades. Speaking of school and library visits, I created a menu selection dedicated to information about author visits.
A section called “Media” highlights articles and interviews where I’ve been featured or quoted in newspapers, television, radio, and more. These include media coverage for my books as well as from my Bicultural Mama blogging days.
As for my award-winning blog, it hasn’t gone away. In the menu header, there is a selection called “Bicultural Mama Blog.” Here, readers can find an archive of almost 1,500 blog posts. Under the main blog menu header are subheaders. These further define articles into topics such as “Multicultural Resources,” “Food,” “Travel,” and more. Many of these subheaders break down into further topics such as “Book Reviews Asian” and “Book Reviews Non-Asian.”
If you’re an existing Bicultural Mama blog reader, I hope you’ll follow me on my journey as a children’s book author. For those who know me first as an author, I thank you for reading my books and hope you’ll continue to support me as new ones come out.
I’d like to send a huge THANK YOU to my sister, Teresa, for being my sounding board during the development process of the new website. Her guidance and support were invaluable! I’d also like to thank Krystyn, owner of Krizzy Designs, for “saving” my site multiple times when things stopped working or disappeared. Her patience and insights were so appreciated! I’d highly recommend her for any web design needs. Lastly, I’d like to thank my husband, children, and extended family for supporting me as I fulfill my childhood dream of becoming an author. I love you all!
