Golden Winged Fairy

Children around the world cherish fairies – ethereal, mythical creatures in human form with wings who hold magical powers. So it’s no surprise children love books about fairies. Though Disney has made Tinkerbell one of the most well-known fairies, there’s something to be said about a non-mass-produced and commercialized children’s book that comes from the heart.

One such book is The Golden Winged Fairy written by Lala Fae and illustrated by Laura Siadak. The fairy Lorelei longs to be like the Silver Moon Fairies but is ashamed of her one golden wing. Lorelei masks the color of her golden wing to match the silver of the other fairies. She joyfully flies into the night with them. A sudden storm uncovers her golden wing, and Lorelei flees from the other fairies. Unbeknownst to Lorelei, she learns later that her unmasked golden wing helped the Silver Moon Fairies survive the storm. With universal themes about differences and self-acceptance, The Golden Winged Fairy is a timeless and sweet, enchanting story that children of all ages can relate to.

The heirloom-worthy book stands out not only for its storyline but also for its high quality of production.
