Pinnable Cornucopia Craft

Thanksgiving may look different this year, but kids can still get creative and do fun crafts to show their thankfulness. I’m a big supporter of using what you have on hand when it comes to crafts. So when we were thinking of Thanksgiving crafts, we grabbed the juice boxes my daughter drinks as well as basic supplies like construction paper and tape.

Reusing a juice box reduces waste and shows kids they can do their part to be environmentally-friendly. We always use a Juicy Juice box since that’s the juice my kids drink. We love how Juicy Juice 100% juice comes in tons of flavors — 15 in all via 64 oz. bottles and 6.75 oz. juice boxes. But most of all, I’m glad there’s no added sugar or high fructose corn syrup added, and Juicy Juice also provides an excellent source of Vitamin C.

Cornucopia Craft Directions

1. Gather your supplies:
  • Brown construction paper (9″x12″)
  • Juice Box
  • Marker
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • Tape

2. Have an adult help you to cut the top off of an empty juice box. Wash the inside and dry completely. This will provide the support within the paper cornucopia to hold things.

3. Position the juice box diagonally on the construction paper.

4. Wrap the paper into a cone shape over the box and seal the edge with a piece of tape.

5. Use scissors to snip off the top point of the paper so that you can round out the cornucopia.

6. Staple the juice box to the bottom of the cornucopia to secure it. You can also use the stapler to staple the edges of the paper where they come together to ensure they don’t unwrap.

7. Use scissors to snip on both sides of the narrow part of the cornucopia to create more of a point.

8. Roll up the point to create the curved end of the cornucopia. Use a marker to draw lines to create a cornucopia-like pattern.

9. Fill the cornucopia with fruits and vegetables or anything else related to fall. We used toy fruits and vegetables. If you don’t have these, you can always print out photos from the internet instead.

10. Use the cornucopia as a Thanksgiving decoration or for your kids to play with. Enjoy!
