Get Yourself to Budapest
Oh, Budapest. How you’re able to capture the hearts of so many. It is a European destination that sees hundreds of thousands of tourists flocking through year in, year out. It makes most of its money through the tourists that pass through it, so it knows how to treat them well.
Budapest is definitely more of a sightseeing vacation, and many say it’s ideal more for solo travelers or couples. You don’t need longer than a week there, but the week you do spend there will be filled with so much fun, amazing memories, and sights that you’ll be left wanting to see more. So without further ado, here’s why you should be putting Budapest on your travel list.

The Summer
The summer might seem like a far cry away for a lot of us, but it is definitely going to be creeping up on us sooner than we think. One of the main attractions of Budapest happens in the summer. People visiting Budapest need to check out the amazing thermal spa festivals that happen. It is like going to a festival in the United Kingdom or the United States, but even better. The weather is amazing, the atmosphere is delightful, and you get to swim around in a nice thermal spa whilst listening to some of the best DJ’s in the world. These events attract so many people, both famous and not, throughout the summer.
The best part is that they’re not even that expensive. All you need to do is buy a ticket and some flights, get yourself a cheap hostel and a nice swimsuit, gather your favorite friends, and head for the sun. The summer obviously offers a lot more in Budapest. All of the bars and clubs are open, meaning you can party on until the morning light. It is also the perfect time to sit at some of the rooftop bars with your partner, and take in some of the breathtaking views while eating a delicious meal. There is plenty more to be done in the day, some of which we will explore next.
Things To Do
One of the best, and possibly the only reason so many people head to this city, is to see the amazing sites. The country is full of history, and pretty much all of the buildings have kept that rustic feel that they have had since being built all those years ago. One of the grandest monuments to see is the parliament building. In front of it sits a beautiful river. In the summer, the staggering size of the building is just breathtaking. While it isn’t anything for you to go and look around, it does offer a good picture.
For something a bit more interactive, the Gellert baths are a must. They’re indoor thermal spas that offer water at the most perfect temperature. It is located in a roman-styled setting which sets you up for such a relaxing day. The water really does offer an escape from the real world and melts all of your troubles away.
So the next time you’re looking for a new destination to travel to, check out Budapest for an experience to remember!
