Book Launch Day! “It’s Chinese New Year, Curious George”
It’s Book Launch Day!
The long-awaited day is here…today is book launch day for my debut title, It’s Chinese New Year, Curious George! I’ve been overwhelmed with gratitude for the support this book has received even before the launch.
Many Reviewers have posted positive reviews for the book on their social media and blogs. I’ve been interviewed by Influencers such as Miss Panda Chinese on YouTube and Jolynn Baca on her Fab Friday series on Instagram Live. And just yesterday, Cookbook Author and TV Personality Chef Katie Chin invited me to make kid-friendly monkey-theme treats on her IG Live series “Small Bites.” It was a fun time, and the treats were yummy!
By the way, did you catch my Unboxing Video of when I opened the box of my books and saw them for the first time? It was super exciting to see the fruits of my labor! You can watch the video in my blog post HERE.
Newspaper Features
Two newspaper publications interviewed me and recently published the articles. The interviews covered the book, my writing journey, and the upcoming book launch party at Huntington Library.

Virtual School Visits
I had the opportunity to do a couple of school visits in December. These were my first-ever school visits as an author so it was really exciting!
One school visit was with a group of 4th graders from Arlington, Virginia via the Kids Need Mentors program. Amanda Davis, the picture book author of 30,000 Stitches and the upcoming Moonlight Memories, coordinated the visit as it’s an organization she supports. The kids were so engaged and interactive that it was a joy to speak with them.
The next visit was with several classes of kindergarteners from Westwood, New Jersey. The students were so enthusiastic, and they enjoyed seeing Curious George celebrate Chinese New Year. Thank you to Alena Mandaro for coordinating this visit!
FREE Book Companion Work & Coloring Pages
The educational resource site, The Wise Owl Factory, created an amazing book companion work and coloring pages activity set for It’s Chinese New Year, Curious George! The activities include the Zodiac chart and finding what animal you are, understanding the holiday’s traditions, and more. It’s a wonderful resource for teachers and parents. Find the resource HERE.

More thrilling news took place recently when It’s Chinese New Year, Curious George was the #1 New Release in its category on Amazon! It was so amazing to see that take place.
