1) Waikiki Beach, Oahu

Whether you are planning on snorkeling, surfing, boogie boarding, or catching a golden tan, you’ll have a good time at Waikiki Beach. What makes this beach one of the famous ones in Hawaii is the fact that it has eight sections. Even more interesting is that you can parasail along the shoreline as you take in beautiful views.

2) Kauna’oa (Mauna Kea) Beach, The Big Island

If you are looking for a private place with fewer traffic and crowds, this extraordinary place is your go-to place. It is one of the most private beaches in Hawaii. Only 25 people are allowed at a time. This beach is peace and tranquility combined, and you can relax as you watch the sunset view.

3) Punaluu Black Sand Beach, The Big Island

The Big Island is among the only places in the world where you can snow ski in the morning and still surf in the afternoon of the same day. At this particular beach, white sand meets black sand. Endangered green sea turtles who are partial to the warmth of the black sand come here. The sea turtles choose to lay their eggs in this beach only. Rainforests give way to molten volcanoes. It’s a spectacular sight to see!

4) Kaanapali Beach, Maui

Kaanapali Beach has such an exciting view. The Pacific Ocean is on one side while the Maui Mountains are on the west. Word is that this beach was once a playground for Maui royalty. It has grown to become a model for resorts globally.  Among the things that make Kaanapali Beach a famous attraction is the daily cliff diving ceremony. During the ceremony, a cliff diver lights torches along the cliff and dives off Black Rock.

5) North Shore, Oahu

The North Shore has gnarly waves, and the beach hosts the Super Bowl of wave competitions. It is also home to Pu’u O Mahuka Heiau, Oahu’s oldest ancient religious site. Do you love whales? This is the place to find them. The winter waves attract some of the best surfers in the world. Some of the famous sites are Sunset Beach and Banzai Pipeline.
